If you would like to see more of what Scouting is all about, plan to join us with your child at a Tuesday night meeting.  Your child will be paired with a Scout buddy and will participate in the activities.  You will have an opportunity to meet the Scout leaders and other parents.

In order to enroll your child in Scouts, we require the following, preferably before you submit your application online.

1. For youth ages 11-17 contact us at Troop355Scouts@gmail.com, or for youth in Grades 1-5 contact us at Pack355scouts@gmail.com to set up a Tuesday night visit.  

2. If you decide to join after you visit us in person, we would need the following paperwork to approve your enrollment:

   • Bring a notarized copy of the Our Lady Help of Christians CORI form with you for each parent or guardian.

   • All parents are required to take Youth Protection Training (YPT) on my.Scouting.org before we can register your child. This training takes about 90 minutes.

   • Parents or caregivers who have not supplied a CORI form and passed the YPT are not allowed to attend meetings or activities.

3. Once your paperwork is completed, you can formally enroll your child at Scouting.org:

   • Cub Pack 355 - Cub Pack 355 is for youth in grades 1-5.

   • Troop 355 Girls - T355G is for girls ages 11-17.

   • Troop 355 Boys - T355B is for boys ages 11-17.

How to Take YPT

1. View detailed instructions

2. Go to My.Scouting.Org

3. Choose Create Account

   • Create a User Name and Password

4. Under your “photo” in the upper right corner, choose My Training

5. Look for Youth Protection Training

   • Watch all 3 modules

   • Take the final test (part 4)

   • If you pass the test, you will be alerted that the training is complete. You will receive a YPT certificate within a few hours via email.

   • Bring a copy of the completion certificate to the meeting with your other paperwork.
